Application deadline is August 23 at midnight. Performances are September 2 – 5th, 2022 between 12 pm – 7pm.

Through the Burlington Arts & Culture Fund, Rotary Burlington Lakeshore is pleased to present our fourth Emerging Artists Showcase at Canada’s Largest Ribfest, held at Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park on Labour Day Weekend.

The Emerging Artist Showcase aims to give emerging artists the best opportunity to launch their career at a professional level at our well-known and well-attended event. Three of the city’s most up-and-coming artists will be invited to showcase their talent during Burlington’s Biggest End of Summer BBQ event. All three artists will also receive an honorarium.

Successful recipients will be evaluated on the following:

– Contribution to the arts and music culture of the City of Burlington through participation of community programs, projects and/or clubs.
– In the early stages of their career with limited performance history.
– Artists are between 15–30 years of age.
– Demonstrate a commitment to enriching their talent through education, workshops, performances opportunities and coaching.
– Self-identify as an emerging artist.

Selection will be done by a jury and the winners will be contacted by August 29th. All interested emerging artists are required to complete the application form below and submit a short letter outlining their skills and talents based on the evaluation points listed above.
